Seven Isles International School was started as a dream – a dream envisioned by our Founder honourable Prof. M Ramachandran, who aspires towards imparting quality education for the children. SIIS is a school with a vision. Education at SIIS goes beyond the letters in the page of a textbook, and students emerge as confident young individuals, ready to face the challenges of the 21st century. We inspire our students to question and learn by doing, we give them the skills, courage, optimism and integrity to pursue their own dreams. In doing so, our students develop into confident, creative and caring adults who pursue interesting and challenging careers.

Learning takes many forms at SIIS. Each student achieves his or her own potential in the classroom, gymnasium, art room, sports field or on the stage. SIIS facilitates several opportunities for each individual to explore and hone their unique talents. We encourage all our students to persevere, participate and take responsibility for their own development. Through the years at SIIS our students are happy to come to school, as each day is an adventure, with something new and exciting to engage them.

The IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) Programme at SIIS is administered by CAIE (Cambridge Assessment International Education). In the two-year IGCSE programme at SIIS, Classes IX and X students study a range of subjects that are exciting and challenging. It helps improve performance by developing skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem-solving. The holistic and experiential nature of learning balances knowledge, understanding and skills, and ensures that students are well-prepared for the IB Diploma and other pre-university programmes.

In the primary and the lower secondary classes students study academic subjects that prepare them for the IGCSE programme, ranging from First Language English, Second Languages like Hindi, Marathi and French, Sciences, Social Sciences and Mathematics, along with optional subjects like Art and ICT. 

Through a stimulating classroom environment and high levels of student engagement, the programme empowers students to build on their own learning styles. In doing so, the curriculum actively supports discussion-based learning and hands-on activities, and embeds innovative approaches to learning across all subjects. In addition, the co-curricular activities and service initiatives are integral to student life, nurturing self-aware individuals who are responsible towards themselves and the community. SIIS recognizes that education synthesizes academic, emotional, social, personal and intellectual aspects of student's personalities through activities in class and outside and recognizes the integral role these play in understanding the social, natural and environmental world the students live in. The aim is to build a self-aware as well as responsible individual who later strides the world with empathy, confidence as well as responsibility towards self and the larger community.

Our excellent results at the IGCSE Board examination bear testimony to the excellence of the teaching staff that creates a challenging and stimulating learning environment. This helps our students get a good grounding for their further education.  Consequently, their undergraduate college placements are impressive. 

SIIS believes there is no contradiction between learning and fun, joy and the pursuit of excellence, the global and the local, and between respecting tradition and embracing change.
